No, people aren’t “More sensitive” now. People aren’t too “Politically Correct” now. Nor are people “Just looking for a reason to be offended” now.

We, as a people, know better now. Therefore we, as a people, are trying to do better now.

Someone once told me I was a bigot cause I like Oregairu

I’ve been called a white supremacist because I said “separate art from the artist”

I’ve been accused of being a “rape apologist” for objecting to the idea that a softcore porn comic (which didn’t even show actual genitalia) somehow magically convinces dudes that raping people is a-okay, and I’ve been called a pedophile for liking a cartoon.

I was also accused of being a rape apologist in the past. It was because I was (still am actually) a fan of A Clockwork Orange.

And I was accused of being a fujoshi for shipping a m/m ship. Seriously.

I’ve lost count of all the bullshit I’ve been accused of over the past few years

^Not remembering your callouts also makes you callous and unempathetic!

seriously though, op is simply undeniably wrong.

I’ve been called racist for not posting only about institutionalized racism against black people in the US, I had the audacity to post about Africa and Canada and their issues too.

I’ve been called racist for refusing to treat people differently based on the color of their skin, for saying that everyone should be treated equally, that no one should be judged for how they were born.

I’ve also been called homophobic, ableist, misogynistic, and racist for just flat out not treating people differently based on traits they were born with.

Also got called misogynistic and victim blamer for saying men can be victims of domestic violence. Oh and for saying gaming isn’t misogynistic and that women can have female power fantasies with women characters like Bayonetta and that women can enjoy looking at the female form too.

I’ve been called many different racist slurs for saying white people shouldn’t be hated on just because of their race.

I’ve been called a nazi and nazi sympathizer for saying everyone should have free speech (also have been called a “dirty Zionist” for wanting evidence of something, I can’t remember what, lol)

People are definitely more sensitive now. How else does a white guy trying to be a good ally get bullied for being white by the people he’s trying to march for? They said his blood alone makes it impossible for him to “atone” for anything. Like nothing he can do will ever be good enough for them to accept him because of his skin color.

An entire high school production of the Hunchback of Notre Dame was canceled over the color of the girl who got the part of Esmeralda, a canonically French (white European) character, because the girl who got the part was white. They claimed that a non-white person should play the white character and so canceled the entire thing. Can you imagine how it must feel to have an entire production canceled because of the color of your skin? And you call that progressive? Fuck that. That’s sensitive snowflake bullshit that’s setting us back over 60 years.

People are calling for segregation and calling it “safe spaces,” excluding people based on how they were born, while if any white person did the same it would, and is, called racist. We have historically white people being portrayed by non-white people while non-white historical people are being ignored. It’s all bullshit.

I got called a white nationalist because I reblogged something from you 😂

Really? Oh my word, lol. I forgot to add “white nationalist” to it because I think all people should be allowed to keep their cultures lol. Was that the conversation you reblogged or was it something else?

I apparently became a – what was it – “Nazi apologist” because I said neo-Nazis weren’t Republic serial villains.

Apparently the person who yelled at me wasn’t familiar with Watchmen.

Not to mention how Mizzou was caused by alleged drive-by racism, and a poop swatstika. Two guys get kicked out of a restauraunt? Must be racism, national controversy. Woman points a shotgun at cops and gets shot? Racism.

I was told that my disabled mother should go kill herself because the a member of the NRA.

I was called racist by a Korean student in college because i made Korean food.

I was told by a Japanese man that non Japanese people eating sushi is racist.

I was called lesbophobic for saying that a woman has to only be attracted to other women to be a lesbian.

Many so called activists have called me an “asian fetishist” just for being jn an interracial relationship.

I was called a white supremacist and an “coon” for being black and not hating white people on this very website.

I was called a rape apologist for saying that proof should be needed before a rape conviction.

-Jackson

I’ve was recently called a racist for pointing out that this person wasn’t oppressed because they had the same rights I did.

I was also called racist because I called the Windtalkers of WW2 heroes, and explained that Native Americans had made great progress in securing their rights.

And that was just in the past two weeks!

  • They find a book written in Latin… one guy doesn’t take Latin and doesn’t want to mess up the pronunciation. The girl is studying Mandarin. Another guy recommends sticking it into Google Translate but that’s likely to land them with gibberish. They leave it alone.
  • The car won’t start. They call an Uber.
  • The vampire captures the girl and insists that she wears the gown to dinner. The gown is actually hella cute. Only problem is it’s not in her size. Oh, it only comes in 2’s and 4’s? Sorry, vamp, you want me in that dress you contact the goddamn company and tell them to get their shit together.
  • “How did you possibly know that? It saved our lives!” “I’ve got two degrees and I spend way too much time on Wikipedia.”

FASCISM

Racists Beat 91-Year-Old Man With Brick

Rodolfo Rodriguez, 92, was walking around his Los Angeles neighborhood on the Fourth of July and bumped into a young girl while trying to pass her on the sidewalk near his home, relatives told KTLA.

The toddler’s mom violently shoved the grandfather to the ground and proceeded to beat him in the face with a brick, police said.“

Woman disappears after she recorded herself throwing ink on poster of Chinese president, report says

nunyabizni:

A Chinese woman has reportedly vanished shortly
after livestreaming herself throwing ink on a poster of President Xi
Jinping last week.

Dong Yaoqiong, 29, of ZhuZhou, Hunan, recorded herself throwing ink on the image on July 4, BuzzFeed News reported. Her video quickly went viral on Twitter and was shared in WeChat, a Chinese message app.

Dong denounced the president’s “authoritarian dictatorship” before throwing the ink on the poster.

“I oppose Xi Jinping and his authoritarian dictatorship,” Dong was heard saying.

She said she hated the president and asked internal
organizations to “intervene on the Chinese Communist Party’s mind
control.” She dared Xi to “come and catch” her.

“Friends, I have splashed ink on his photo,” she was heard saying. “Let’s see how he’s gonna deal with me.”

Chinese activist Hua Yong tweeted out Dong’s video and asked if she was safe.

“Emergency signal boost: I just saw this video in a WeChat group
chat, and I am really worried about this woman and her safety. This
livestream has already been shared domestically in China. I want to know
her name. Can our friends in Shanghai please inquire after her current
status? Please everyone pay attention to this, don’t let her voice
disappear. Defend the constitution. Exercising freedom of speech is not a
crime,” Hua wrote.

Hua told BuzzFeed News he discovered Dong’s Twitter and
found she was home. However, a few hours later Dong tweeted a group of
uniformed men had shown up outside of her home. She took a picture of
the men from the door’s peephole.

“There’s a group of people in uniforms outside my door.
After I’m dressed, I’ll go out. I’m innocent. The ones who are guilty
are the people and group that have hurt me,” she wrote.

Hua began a livestream on YouTube to talk about Dong
and to bring awareness to the incident. He said Dong’s tweets were
deleted not too long after and her Twitter account was deactivated. Hua
also said he found Dong’s phone number but it was not working. Her
whereabouts were unknown.

Following the disappearance, a number of people
recorded themselves throwing ink on an image of Xi’s face as a show of
solidarity and to raise awareness.

“This is to show solidarity with the girl who threw ink, Dong Yaoqiong. Put some color on this face,” one person tweeted.

Remember this when people say Trump or anyone else is a fascist dictator, because this is what a dictatorship does.

But like Trump says mean things to people over twitter and blocks people over twitter. Does Xi do that? I thought not~ /s

Depicting beheading the president if our supposed fascist dictatorship, amd nothing happening to you, vs spilling ink on a depiction of a face, and disappearing probably to a government sponsored rape dungeon or organ harvesting facility.

Anyone who questions if Trump is a fascist dictator or not can perform a simple test:

Ask yourself “Do I feel safe saying that Trump is a fascist dictator online with no fear of government repercussions?”

If the answer is “yes”, then Trump is not a fascist dictator.

May you all find peace

As someone who has no involvement in the divisive acts that have occurred, who no one knows/cares about, and as someone who has not taken a side because I have seen only some of what transpired and believe most of you have done wrong, I would like to remind you all of a few things.

First of all, I am blaming no one. I am not calling anyone out. But I invite you all to remember that it is our privilege and duty to combat i/s/f/e/t, which translates to “chaos, injustice, to do evil.” We all have our interpretations, but i beg you all to ask yourselves if your actions have been in service of the Netjer or if accusations and divisive statements have only created animosity and confusion. The s/n/a/k/e thrives off of us fighting. Not long ago we banded together to spite it and it’s misguided followers. Today I feel we have lost that unity.

As Kemetics, we will one day stand before Anubis, our hearts weighed and judged, as we recite the 42 negative confessions. Yes, it is impossible to recite them all truthfully, especially since times have changed. But I still try to live so that I have done everything in my power to be able to speak those confessions with a sincere “I am not perfect but I have tried” confidence.

8. I have not uttered lies.

15. I am not a (person) of deceit

26. I have not shut my ears to the words of truth.

None of you think these apply here, and that very well may be true but I wanted to remind you all to get all sides of a story before acting.

10. I have not uttered curses.

18. I have slandered [no person].

Live and let live. I understand block lists and callout posts can be informative and useful, but it is the responsibility of all to check and not block blindly.

22. I have not polluted myself.

23. I have terrorized none.

All of these are up to interpretation, but these speak for themselves. Ma’at is justice, yes, but justice was the same claim that Hitler made. All words can be twisted. It is not justice to call people out. Anyone. We are not judges. Anubis will judge us all. But while we are here, the internet is not a place where justice is easy, nor is it black and white.

29. I am not a stirrer up of strife (or a disturber of the peace).

30. I have not acted (or judged) with undue haste.

31. I have not pried into matters.

32. I have not multiplied my words in speaking.

33. I have wronged none, I have done no evil.

I trust you all will understand these and infer my points. Whether you think you have done no wrong or not, I beg you to try and live by these especially. Before you all attack me on 29, I interpret “the peace” as a utopia. Countries with injustices are not peaceful. Maybe for the majority but I’m not saying that peace is the priority. If we can, I believe all should fight against injustice, but remember, we fight smarter, not harder. Individuals should not put themselves in danger to speak out.

We are Kemetic. We follow the Netjer, major and minor, and we strive to live in Ma’at. I will not speak for Them, nor even try to claim what they may think about all of this, but it is our duty to fight i/s/f/e/t.

I wrote this sleep deprived so I apologise for errors and nonsensical ramblings.

Very nicely said!

things english speakers know, but don’t know we know.

WOAH WHAT?

That is profound. I noticed this by accident when asked about adjectives by a Japanese student. She translated something from Japanese like “Brown big cat” and I corrected her. When she asked me why, I bluescreened.

We non-native speakers actually took tests on this on high school.

Whoa….

This is from a really interesting book about the techniques of rhetoric in English called The Elements of Eloquence, by Mark Forsyth!  In case you want to learn more Wild Things About English That Will Blow Your Mind.
