Witches and curses!

So I’ve been following some witch posts and am so excited to see such a large following here on tumblr! But with seeing so many followers, I am also getting concerned…
For those who are new to anything witchy or pagan or wiccan, this experience on tumblr will be their first taste of what it’s all about. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about “cursing” your enemy and putting spells on people you hate.
!!!! Negativity and ill-will directed/cast upon another is really bad. When you curse another it comes back to you tenfold. !!!!! (Think of it like how monotheists view sin)
I guess I’m just worried for the future of this practice. It is one of love and not of evil curses.
Just be careful when you are out practicing or spreading the word, that the message is always a positive one.

Okay, but no. Witchcraft is not “a practice of love” for many of us, and so we will continue to actually post our witchcraft and our curses, and that is what it is for us. “Tenfold?” Perhaps for you, but that’s not how my paradigm works, or how it works for many other witches. I believe strongly that witchcraft is a tool at my disposal and I will use it as I deem necessary. That includes in defense and proactive offense too.
