Isn’t this something the more insane sounding Trump supporters had claimed he was doing? That he made insane claims he never intended to fulfill just so he could later back down in order to look like he’s compromising?
Nah. As it turns out, Trump never had a policy against trans people using bathrooms, nor did he ever support removing basic human and civil rights from LGBTQ people.
As for the Muslim ban, you’d have to go back about a year, but he clarified that the “ban” on immigration from volatile areas that have been exporting terrorists was only meant to be put in place until a proper vetting and control system could be established to keep out ISIS soldiers, radicals, extremists, and wholly incompatible people. Like the ones that think all Americans deserve to die for not following their religion.
This is something that Clinton claims to have supported as well, but with her insistence on having a public and private position on issues, it’s hard to tell what her actual plan was.

My roommate was unable to get to work today because the “protestors” (see: rioters) had closed down 4 consecutive MAX Stations in downtown Portland, and the busses in the area weren’t running either.
