nerevar………………………….. murdered his boss because a dirt orphan told him a poem, married a woman 100 years younger than him who he habitually refers to as his mother, has been inside dunmer satans ass, and was a dictator who started two wars. legendary man
This shit is exactly why I can’t get excited for North Korea in the Olympics. Russia gets banned for doping but we’re just going to shrug our shoulders at this?
It’s because NK is a leftist state. I guarantee you if it claimed to be a fascist state itd be gone in 5 years.
But there seems to be a benign tolerance for leftist extremists.
its a fucking dictatorship how is that leftist
A dictatorship isn’t inherently fascist or communist, frequently it appears in both systems since both systems are inherently top-down. North Korea is in fact leftist because it labels itself a communist state, hence the name the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, but it is also a totalitarian dictatorship.
my name is naima and i’m an eighteen y/o somali lesbian in desperate need of help. over the past few months i have been under the impression that my family is warming up to the idea of me not being what they want me to be. unfortunately this is not the case and i believe the only way out is to escape as they have now resorted to basically treating me like a prisoner and promising me to a man instead of letting me go to university as they promised. i have no funds of my own and to even think of escaping and surviving the first few weeks i desperately need money. i have to use ko-fi since it’s the most anonymous of ways and my father has found out what i do online before (i had to remake my tumblr). despite everything i do not wish any harm on them. i simply want to part ways. i don’t have a lot of followers but if any of you is willing to help i will forever carry you in my heart.
Hi, Naima has managed to gather enough
money and is asking people to stop reblogging her call, as she doesn’t
need anymore support. She has made several posts with updates on her
situation, and has closed her kofi account so that people won’t donate
anymore. However, I am trying to raise funds for someone who is pretty
much in the same situation as Naima. Except Naima is in the UK, where at
least the law is on her side, while Djenaba is in Gambia, where she
could be sent to jail for being a lesbian… Naima’s call for help got
almost 30000 notes, but the post I made over 6 months ago got only… 22. I
managed to raise a bit of money among my friends, but we are still
short of what is needed. I am not trying to make a competition, I am
very glad that Naima got the help and support she needs and deserves. I
am just hoping maybe some of the people who supported her can extend
their solidarity to my friend’s cousin. I am sorry to hijack this post
and I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t have to, but after 6 months of doing
everything we could, we are really desperate and don’t know who to turn
to. So I’m contacting each person who expressed solidarity for Naima,
hoping that maybe they’ll help by donating or signal boosting. Djenaba
is in the same situation as Naima, except in a country where she has no
access to legal protection, and was never taught how to use social
media. Please help us bring her to safety! Even 5€ will be helpful! I am
pasting below the description of Djenaba’s situation, feel free to
contact me for more details, I can send you documents and information in
private messages to guarantee that this is not a scam.
Hello,
my friend’s cousin, Djenaba, is currently in great danger. She is 18
years old and lives in Gambia with her parents. She has not finished her
studies, but they want to force her to get married. But she is not
attracted to men. She has only mentioned her sexual orientation to one
friend, but that friend told her mom. Now she is facing jail, torture or
even murder if the mother tells other people. Indeed in Gambia,
homosexuality is punished with 14 years in prison. In prison, rape,
torture and mistreatment is very frequent. But some people are even
tortured or murdered by their own families when their homosexuality is
revealed. We want to help Djenaba come to France, where she can ask for
asylum as a member of a persecuted minority. With what we have gathered
so far, we have already paid for a bus ticket for her to escape her
village to go to the capital where we know an activist who can protect
her for a little while, and we got her a passport. Now we need money for
a plane ticket… This is why we are calling to your solidarity. Please
donate if you can, and circulate this link around you…
I hope that she is released alive and safe and that there will be a day when things like this dont happen. This sort of treatment is unjust and oppressive.
I’m not Muslim but this is quite clearly why we need to listen to non white women on this. Plenty of people who live in the West and wear the hijab have outright said they do not feel they are oppressed, while women in countries where it is law. often do feel oppressed by it. It doesn’t mean one size fits all rules should apply. Listening to people should not be this hard.
Update: A human rights lawyer says that Vida Movahed has been released. This hasn’t been independently verified but Nasrin Sotoudeh says she saw the documentation of release in the prosecutor’s office.
No details yet on what has happened to 29-30 other women arrested for ‘public order offences’ (removing their hijabs in public).
Also:
Elham Khatami: “A reminder that women in Iran are protesting *forced* hijab, not the idea of hijab altogether. Bears repeating since lots of ppl are projecting their Islamophobia onto the protests.” https://t.co/Ygs7asbIkr
Armin Navabi: “An elderly woman in #Iran joins the protest against forced #hijab. She has difficulty walking. But that doesn’t stop her from showing her support.” https://t.co/TiI9hllXH9
Now I can’t help but imagine a 60 year old seriel killer at a millenials door waiting, mad as fuck, checking his watch , and leaving out of frustration and writes a blog post about how millenials are ruining this country
