Olenna stared at the sellsword, eyes bright. The pet of Tyrion, she’d heard, and now the pet of Jaime Lannister, but he was an interesting character as far as she could tell. “I think you might be the only person at this feast who isn’t a total bore,” she observed, glancing over at him across the table.
“An you must be the smartest person in the room.” He remarked, giving a grin as the old lady addressed him. Olenna Tyrell. The true lord of House Tyrell. If her granddaughter was anything like her, well, the royal family had better look out. Bronn leaned over the table, pouring the woman another glass. “Lady Tyrell. My services do extend to other things than just swingin’ a sword. I know how to liven up these stuffy feasts.” He had been known to sing a shanty or two but to some of the noble’s displeasure.

“Well it was going fine until I promised them a game after, if bad only if they behaved during their studies.”
He shot a disapproving look at the elder children “It wasn’t long until after became now.” Joanna hung her head and then Orys’s small voice exclaimed “we can still have dessert though!”
Viserys shook his head and firmly said “No. Not after today’s antics. You’ll go straight back to your studies. An extra hour of studying and no dessert tonight. Maybe than you’ll learn to listen better” the children were then taken back by their septas and Viserys looked back at Relena, exhausted after chasing down four children.
“Why did I have to give you four? I love them do not get me wrong but…” He was regretting not spacing them out longer. “Should have stopped at two. Anyways, how has the meetings with the small council been?”
“You did suggest a celebration. It’s just a minstrel, Aegon, not a grand ball,” Daenerys laughed as she guided him to the room. Wherever he had been raised, he was clearly accustomed to having servants, though the young man looked to her and she nodded before leaving her guest to relax and refresh before evening meal. In spite of her calm demeanor, Daenerys mind was racing in a million different directions now that she was sure Aegon was indeed a Targaryen.
Returning to her chambers, Daenerys went through the ravens left on her desk, then Missandei arrived to help her get ready for the evening and the two went over different issues. There were envoys arriving from all over the kingdom, some merely coming to pay deference, some who hinted at supporting her claim to the throne. The two talked easily while she bathed and then Missandei helped her into a black gown with an embroidered red dragon rising up the bodice. Lastly, she braided Daenerys hair with little silver bells woven in Dothraki custom, one for each of her victories.
She arrived to the great hall to before Aegon and was settled when her guest joined them cheerfully. More clues to how he had been raised, how different it had been from her own, but Dany had no resentment for it. As he took his seat beside her, he wasted no time taking a drink. “I trust you find your chambers to your liking?” Daenerys asked, noting that he had dressed for the occasion. More clues. “You look good, refreshed. Perhaps after meal, if you are not tired, I might show you around the castle.”
“I did, yes. Thank you.’ Aegon replied as he savored the food that had been brought for them to dine on. Noting the grandeur that had been supplied, even if it wasn’t a feast at King’s Landing, it still was worthy of royalty. “Yes, of course. I would love that, Daenerys. I’d love to get to know this place.” He already felt like he was home, truth be told and the more he talked with Dany the more he felt at ease around her.
“And not some formal stiff, here are the bed chambers, here is the throne room…I want to know Dragonstone as you have come to know it, as our forbearers would have.” In truth he knew of all the places from the Sept to Aegon’s Garden and all the places in between. “Maybe even what your plans are for the coming war to put you on the throne. I want to know everything and anything about you Daenerys. Our childhoods seem so similar and yet so vastly different.”
