Ra
Egyptian God

They say that the Sun God Ra is born every day to drive the sun across the sky for twelve hours. Then he dies and it becomes night as he crosses into the underworld, where he battles demons that threaten the prosperity of Egypt.

SEKHMET, the Powerful One🔥
I’ve drawn this for another digital class assignment, we had to pick a deity or mythological creature and create our own version of that character. So of course I chose Sekhmet, the Egyptian warrior godess ☀️
I drew her as if she was going to be a character in an animated movies about ancient gods in the modern world and all, I’ve done a whole spread with lore, alternative outfits and facial expressions but I don’t know if I’ll post it cause it’s not that interesting

» Hekau of the Netjeru Edition: Khnum

Sibling to the cult of Ptah, they mended reality with their breath and hands. But they couldn’t do it with their Ka alone. They needed clay from the Nile river. They tended towards resiliency and contentment with their power and will. These people never wanted more than what they had when things were good. Others would watch them, waiting for them to falter. But the magicians of Khnum were steadfast. Yet their tongues were quite gifted – almost as much as their hands – with the gift of counsel. They were ever aware of their surroundings and subtle situations that would fly over others’ heads. This proved incredibly helpful to those who asked for their advice. The Hekau of Khnum would not steer you wrong.
