Jasmine knew the frown was a bad sign. How she wanted to keep him smiling, to hear his laughter and feel his arms around her. Yet she seemed to upset him more than she made him smile. The princess sighed softly, bowing her head a little. When he demanded his freedom, she bit her lower lip. He knew it wasn’t that easy. Even if she wanted to do so, she would need her father’s blessing. Something she had been begging for since she realized she had fallen for Viserys. Yet every time, he turned her away on her request, due to the whispering form Jafar.
However, even if she was able to give him his freedom, it wouldn’t be as they wanted. He could beg her father for her hand,s he knew it would not be an easy task. “You are asking for something I have been fighting for days. He has said no every time I ask for it. You know if I could, we wouldn’t have to hide like this.” She told him, looking down at their joined hands. She wanted the future he described so badly. Where they were together and happy, and ruling Agrabah, together. Yet she knew something else. He wanted more than Agrabah. He wanted to go to Westeros, he wanted his throne. Viserys wanted his homeland, and to rule it. That was not what Jasmine wanted. She wanted to explore and see, but not rule such a large and foreign land.
“Viserys, please look at me.” She pleaded softly, reaching up to brush her free fingers over his cheek. Trying to coax him into looking at her. She was about to speak, her mouth open, but her words caught in her eyes. The hurt and betrayal at his words were clear in her eyes. Jasmine let go of him, as if he had burned her. It felt like he had and she moved away. “How could you say that to me? I have never treated you like that, you are more than that to me.” She turned away, wrapping her arms around herself, moving to lean against the wall. “You act like I haven’t been fighting for you this whole time. If I hadn’t raised my voice and gotten you out of worse work, and possibly dying from no food or water. You would not be treated as kindly if I had not given you my heart.”
Viserys’s head was swamped with everything that was happening and how fast things had turned from loving and sweet to horrid and fighting. “You have plenty of servants I do understand why you need me as well. In fact you’ve gotten five new ones in the recent months” He huffed before she moved away from him. He wanted to have her with him, if here in her country or if he could find his way back to even the Dothraki Sea.
His eyes looked at her before he turned his head to look at her as she asked him to do so before his next words seemed to have cut her deep and he was filled with regret as she spoke, feeling the anger in her voice. “It doesn’t feel like it.” He made a comment on her first set of words and noticed how she moved further away from him and Viserys knew he had done wrong, spoken the wrong thing but he had to get his words out and his feelings about everything and he wouldn’t apologize for them, not now.
He stalked closer to Jasmine, his hand attempted to grab a hold of his arm and pull her closer to him. “Lower your voice unless you want the guards to hear our lovers quarrel.” He hissed through his teeth as he glared at her, seething with emotions. “You have done for me a great deal that is for sure and I cannot thank you enough and I want you to know that your heart is safe with me but how much longer can we do this? How much longer will you be able to last with the Witch Jafar in your father’s ear? How can either of continue this with him hounding you to marry.” He dropped his grip on her arm as he spoke “Will you settle for a dimwit, be the one to rule and keep me in your bed?” He asked wondering just how she had planned this whole thing going. “I could get rid of your father’s witch if you gave the word. He’s done nothing but poison him against the wishes I know a man like your father would do to see his child happy.”
