I was just flipping through The Ancient Egyptian Prayer Book, and I came across a neat little tidbit about Sobek that I thought I’d share. 

In some
mythologies Sobek is a powerful and awe-inspiring denizen of the
underworld, and was invoked to do away with annoyances and
negative situations, by the phrase “to Sobek with it (him),” much as
in the same manner that modern-day slang consigns bothersome
things and persons “to Hell [with it].”
