He pulled up to the Stark house and waited for Sansa to come out before he went to the front door and was welcomed inside by Ned, they spoke for quite a while, laughing and enjoying themselves before he saw Sansa and smiled warmly at her.
“Good evening. Now, I promised your father I wouldn’t let you get a quadrangle scoops…Don’t want you gettin’ sick.” He told her as he bid Ned farewell and held the front door open for Sansa. “Where do you want to go for ice cream?” Jory asked, fiddling with his sweater sleeves as he unlocked the car.
Sansa climed into the car, settling her hands in her lap in a way that she hoped was casual, and not tense and nervous. Jeyne Poole had teased her all day about going out for ice cream with Jory alone, and whatever her empty-headed friend said, Sansa was determined not to make a fool of herself.
“The Baskin Robbins outside the mall?” she suggested, sighing inwardly with relief that her voice remained casual.
“Sounds good to me.” He told her as he began to drive towards the destination, trying to remember that while he was out with a Stark, it was for pleasure and not business. “Then maybe you can drag me to look at clothing and I can pretend to like most everything you try on” He joked, giving her a teasing grin. “And then I will like the other ten percent which you won’t buy because I have no fashion taste.”
Once they got to the Baskin Robbins, he held the car and store front doors open for her, paid for the ice cream and pulled out her chair before he sat down with his Rock Road one scoop in a waffle cone. “This was a good idea. Haven’t had Ice cream in a while.” He nearly missed a bite as he noticed how Sansa was looking at him and his face grew concerned. “Sansa…Are you okay? Does it not taste good…Is there something on my face? Are you sick?”
