Wouldn’t a ‘Digimon GO’ app be great?

Y’know, walking around and bumping into Digimon and fighting them with your partner(s).

And your starter would be a randomly generated rookie from all existing (and some new) rookies. Maybe there’d be some kind of Q&A and/or device scan of existing apps and usage of them to help generate the digi. So it’d be really personalised to you.

Also every single digimon would be obtainable (through evolution) in some way so a good portion of digis will get updates to their possible evos/de-evos.

So your partner would be personalised to you and its evo line could be too!
