How is it that people commemorate all the Jews that have fallen in the holocaust but no one does shit to remember the people that fell in the witch trials in Europe and America? Oh right because it was the church that instructed the trials and we can’t have the church be put in a bad light.

Seriously? I was hoping this was just a terrible anti-Semitic troll, but it does not seem it.

On the Holocaust Remembrance Day, you want to play some oppression game? Hate to break it to you, but you lose, every single time. Want to play a numbers game? The witch trials and executions were not always well documented, but the rough estimate these days tends to be between 35k-63k (highest estimate is around 100k) as the death toll, and that is over the span of about five hundred years. It’s a tragic loss of life and no one denies that, but to try and pull shit about witch trials on this day, against Jewish people (who were a very common victim in some areas of Europe during the witch hunts) is wholly insensitive, dickish, and ignorant. This isn’t even touching on the fact that out of that death toll, it’s likely only a fraction were self-described witches, the rest would have been supposed heretics and falsely accused Christians.

The Holocaust claimed the lives of millions of Jewish people. Sit down and shut up, try to have some basic human decency, because your whole post is terrible.
