I do feel a little bad about that person who started the spirit war stuff. They didn’t mean for people to get crazy about it and then they were harassed off of tumblr. Which is why they deleted not because they were angry but because people threatned them

da-at-ass:

I don’t really feel bad, because…

*deep breath*

They made a mistake and they learned what happened. What have they lost? A blog. A blog they decided to delete themselves.

I feel bad when people lose property, loved ones, things they can’t get back. OP deleted their blog. It’s not a house fire. It’s not a car wreck. It’s not even something that happened to them. They made a choice to LEAVE A SOCIAL NETWORK, which is like the choice to leave a large party BECAUSE they said something embarrassing that other people took issue with. They can come back to the party if they wish. It’s not a tragedy at all.

Is it bad that they were harassed? Yes. But it is literally text and pictures on a screen. It is also a reaction that they garnered by telling MANY people that

GLOBAL ASTRAL WAR was happening TO EVERYONE and then trying to silence anyone with an opposing viewpoint to that. So yes, inbox action is going to happen after that, just like if they said those things in person at a real party with a bunch of people, there would be social repercussions such as nobody wanting to talk to them or them getting kicked out of the venue or them leaving the venue. Maybe even people making fun of them to their face in mean ways! It’s not a deserved reaction, it’s not nice, it’s not good, but after going through middle and high school, it’s certainly one I would expect?

It is social repercussions. It sucks. But it’s not a tragedy. It’s not a global astral war.
