Luke tells Rey that she already has his father’s lightsaber, and his power, and she’ll have to work to get knowledge of the Force off of him. “As your father, all I have to give you is the truth,” he says, “but that’s more than anyone gave me when I was training.” He promises never to lie to her, and he keeps that promise.
