It’s understandable to not know what Hellenic polytheism is because to mainstream media, we don’t exist. The Greek gods are all dead and gone and the only people who care are over excited nerds. But, our religion is very real and I encourage you to explore the community on Tumblr to learn more. Soloontherocks is an Ares devotee and has a good resource page to get you started, there’s also Baring the Aegis and a few other websites that escape my memory atm. tangled-strings

Oh right I forgot… I’m on tumblr… Over excited nerds make up sit with a half education and somehow it gathers fans, or in this case followers to its half assed religion. I’m sorry but first of all you didn’t even say the God of the sun and archery right, it’s Apollo, there is no N at the end, secondly, I’d hope you follow the basic rules of animal sacrifice and daily prayer to your house hold God, and Zeus, thirdly Hellenic sounds like they just took the name of the most beautiful woman from the Trojan war myth and put ic and ism after her name, forth, I admire you dedication to some time of religion, but I’d have at least studied The original mythologies and practices first. Seeing is that you have so far shown and said that you haven’t really much knowledge over it, you shouldn’t be telling me that I am wrong and offensive. I get that it’s your practice and I respect that you have one, what I don’t respect is what you have so far told me about it. Again from you information it really truthfully sounds half assed to me.

So why don’t you do YOUR research and not tell someone who has studied Greek myth and practice they’re entire lives 😀

You are wrong about practically everything. There is flat-out no way you have studied Greek myth or ancient Greek religion your entire life, unless you have misunderstood the word “study” as blatantly as you have misunderstood everything else. Also, that is the wrong form of “their”.

1) Apollon is the actual Greek spelling.
2) List the “basic rules”. Go. And source them. I’ll wait.
3) “Hellas” is the Greek name for Greece, and if you had opened literally any scholarly source at any point in your life, you would know that. This more than anything else confirms you as either illiterate or a liar or both.
4) I have forgotten more about Greek mythology than you have ever learned.
5) Shut up and learn to read.
